Future of Home Building: Are Small Homes the New Wave?

180° Urban Design has been working on the Smart Dwelling Initiative with the New Urban Guild by participating in a national conversation on the future of home building. One of the first questions being addressed, Are small homes the new wave? To give you a general idea of the project, the Smart Dwelling Initiative will put the American home on a diet. The Smart Dwelling Initiative will encompass a number of plan types and sizes, but the average size will be about half of last year’s bloated American house.
