My weekly Friday photo feature has been one of my favorites since I started it, but now it’s time to put a new twist on it. This week I’m mixing it up by asking you, the reader, to guess where this photo is taken. Winners receive… (wait for it)… a sense of great accomplishment for being wise and virtuous.

From a Newurbanismblog.com reader comes this photo. Where is it?

If you’d like me to share your photo for this weekly feature, please email me separately. I prefer photos of a great public space or street, though am open to other suggestions.

I’ll have comments posted and you can see the results.

East coast? It’s not NY. Could it be DC?

  2. SoBe says:

I see a Staples sign. There is no Staples on a square in DC. New Haven, CT?

  3. Jeff says:

You know what, on second thought, it can’t be DC. The picture was posted before noon today and I don’t see people in suits. Not to mention I see sunlight in the background. Must be a medium sized town or small community in the south, maybe?

  4. Beth says:

New Orleans. Is that French colonial on the white building?

  5. IneffableWombat says:

Oh hey, is that that little park just off Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA?

  6. John_on_Central says:

Yep that right there is behind Harvard square (ish) Also fun fact is that in front of that staples is one of two examples of a shared street in Cambridge. Open to bikes and peds during most of the working hours but open to delivery and occasional auto traffic before 9 and after 7 or 8. The street is paved in brick and is all at one level. The park is also a very fun place, typically with buskers playing away. Its a great spot! (especially the trees!!!)

Ineffable Wombat & John_on_Central nailed it. Congrats!
